The rules for the 2000 competition are the same as for last year: one point per win, and late tips are allocated away teams.

The cost will remain the same ($1 per round), but the weekly jackpot for the greatest number of winning tips will be upped to $15.  If more than 3 people are eligible, it will jackpot to the next week.

A knockout competition again will run for $3, so nominate one team each week that you are certain will win.

There is a new method of submitting tips if you find it easier.  I will email you a proforma for each round.  Click the reply button, then [x] your tip for each game.  This will save you a lot of typing, and it also means I can cut and paste, so it will save me time too.

If this isn't suitable, phone or fax tips through on 03)9532-8545, or drop them in to 83 Allison Rd, Elsternwick.

REGULAR COMPETITION

COST

The cost for the regular competition will remain at $1 per round, for a total of $22.

MISSED OR LATE TIPS

Away teams will be issued to those whose tips aren't in by the start of the first round each week.

POINTS

One point for each win, and every draw.   There will be no bonus points for 8 correct tips in a round.

WEEKLY JACKPOT

The weekly prize will be $15, to be divided amongst the tipsters who score the highest number of correct tips each week.  If there are more than three people in any one week eligible for the prize then the total will jackpot to the following week.

KNOCK-OUT COMPETITION

RULES

The aim of this competition is to pick one "certain" winner from any game each week.

As long as your chosen team wins, you remain in the competition.  As soon as a team you have chosen looses, you are out.

If you don't get your tip in before the start of the first game of the round, you will be out of the competition!

Everyone continues to choose one team per round, until there is only one person remaining in the competition.

COST

This competition will cost an extra $3 per entry (making a total of $25 for both).

PRIZE MONEY

The last person remaining in the competition wins the total prize money.

If there is more than one person left at the end then the money will be divided between the remaining competitors.

If everyone is knocked out before the end of the season, we have the option of beginning the competition again with everyone paying another $3.
